Distressed Christmas

Hello lovelies. I am not actually distressed :P, it’s just the nails. When I did this design, I didn’t think of Christmas at all, but somehow went for a Christmassy combo. I liked the end result, it has been ages since I last did this technique. And the length of my nails.. I wore the design itself few weeks ago and only last weekend I filed down my nails. I am not sad, the length just started getting uncomfortable and my index finger nails started curving too much.

Tere kallid lugejad. Ei ma ei ole stressis, kõigest mu küüned on. Või tegelikult mitte, see on vaid tehnika nimetus, mida kasutasin. Distressed tähendab n.ö. kuiva harjaga värvimist. Esialgu ei mõelnud ma üldsegi jõuludele, kui selle värvikobinatsiooni (punased ja kuldne) valisin. Kuigi see disain on veel pikkadel küüntel, siis loobusin eelmine nädalalõpp pikkusest. Lihtsalt kogu pikkus muutus natuke ebamugavaks ja ma olen küllaltki praktiline.

I love simple nail art. Sometimes it looks so effortless but interesting at the same time. I hope you like it too.

Matte Plaid

Hello lovelies. This week has been weird in my nails polish drawer. I discovered that some of my glitters have tried up till the point of no saving and I have a feeling that I won’t be able to buy replacements because they’ve finished manufacturing those. I will probably find dupes though :). Anyways, this plaid design I’ll be showing you doesn’t have any glitters. It is a taupe matte design with plaid as an accent.

Tere kallid lugejad. See nädal on küünetarvete sahtlis päris imelik olnud. Märkasin, et mõned mu sädeluslakid on täitsa ära kuivanud. Lihtsalt kogu vedelik oleks nagu ära auranud. Kahjuks pole võimalik ka uusi osta, kuna nende tootmine on lihtsalt lõpetatud. Loodetavasti siiski on võimalik midagi päris sarnast saada mõne teise tootja poolt. Igaljuhul tänane disain on jällegi lihtsate killast. Tegin mustri ainult ühele küünele.

The small white specks are from some dried up bits in the matte top coat. Gosh why is everything dried up .. Ok rant over. I loved how this turned out, even though the stripes aren’t perfect. I started with 2 coats of the taupe polish – Sinful Colors Matte Nirvana. No it is not matte by itself, it’s actually glossy but very easy to work with and dries rather fast. For the stripes on my ring finger I used thin striping brush and after that just slapped on seche and then matte top coat after seche was dry.

Väikesed valged träpsud on kuivanud mati pealislaki tükikesed. Ma ei saa aru, miks kõik kuivanud on viimasel ajal.. Igastahes alustasin 2 kihi pruunika lakiga, milleks on Sinful Colors Matte Nirvana. Kahjuks pole tegemist naturaalse mati lakiga, kuigi nimi vihjab sellele. Sellegipoolest on antud lakk küllalt hea konsistentsiga, lihtne töötada ja kuivab küüntel kiiresti. Triipude jaoks kasutasin peenikest pikka pintslit, mis ongi triibutamiseks mõeldud, peale seda lisasin kihi Seche’t (kiirkuivatav lakk) ja siis kihi matti pealislakki.

Saran Wrap and Rhinestones

Hello lovelies, it’s been a while.. Here’s another design from November. It is simple and rather bright for this time of the year, but I never go with seasonal colours, I just wear whatever I feel like. It is a saran wrap design, I hadn’t done it for a while and thought that might as well, since it is simple and fun.

Tere kallid lugejad. Olen taaskord muude asjadega hõivatud olnud ja jõudsin alles nüüd siia. Seekord siis jälle midagi lihtsamat novembrikuust. Ma pole kunagi suurem asi hooaja värvide järgija olnud, pigem kannan seda, mis parasjagu meeldib (mille järgi tuju tuleb). Tegemist siis saran wrap tehnikaga (toidukile tehnikaga).

Used products (kasutatud tooted):

• light beige – Barry M Coconut
• red – Misslyn Valentine
• pink shimmer – NOPI Best Pink Ever
• pink rhinestines
• saran wrap

I started with 2 coats of Barry M Coconut and when that was dry, I painted rather thick coat of red over it and then used crumbled bits of saran wrap to smudge it. For ring finger and middle finger I just freehanded the side French with small brush.

Alustasin kahe kihi Barry M’iga kõikidel küüntel, kui see oli kuiv, värvisin osad kõõned paksu punase kihiga üle ja ei lasknud sellel ära kuivada vaid tupsutasin väikeste kokku mässitud toidukile tükikestega üle. Keskmisele ja sõrmuse sõrmele tegin väikse pintsliga külgmise prantsuse maniküüri.

Here’s also a swatch of Barry M Coconut. This is just 2 coats and no top coat. It is nice light milky shade. It is easy to work with as well, although formula is on the thicker side.

Samuti üks foto Barry M’i toonist Coconut. Tegemist kõigest 2e kihiga ja heleda veidi piimja tooniga. Antud lakki on kõllaltki kerge käsitleda, kuigi koostis on veidi paksema poolne.

Pink and Grey Half-Moon Nails

Hello lovelies, it’s been a few more days than I intended with this post. It is a half-moon design with skulls. I wore it over Halloween and called it “not so Halloween Halloween nails”. I did like the result, it ended up being on my nails for a week.

Tere kallid lugejad. Tänaseks siis üks poolkuu disain koos kolpadega.  Tegemist on ebatraditsioonilise Halloween’i disainiga.

Photo has my older watermark style, since I did post it during Halloween into a nail group.  Anyways, I finished my knitting project as well. I’ll try to make some photos of that over weekend.

Kuna see disain jõudis ka ühte küünte gruppi, on fotol veidi vanema stiiliga vesimärgid. Sain ka oma kudumisega valmis. Katsun nädalavahetusel mõned pildid teha.

Purple skittles Nails

Hello lovelies, today I have a skittles design to share with you. Haven’t done one in ages. This one is from the last week of October.

Tere kallid lugejad, täna on mul üks skittles (kõik küüned erinevad) tüüpi disain teiega jagada.

I made both hands slightly different, colours and the style is same though. I really enjoyed the simplicity of it.

Tegin mõlema käe küüned veidi erinevad, stiil jäi siiski samaks. Kuigi tegemist on äärmiselt lihtsa disainiga, olin lõpptulemusega väga rahul.
