Essence Glitz & Glam review and nail art

Hello lovelies, it’s been a busy week for me and today I’m sharing some photos of Essence Glitz & Glam plus some nail art I used it in. First photos of the polish with flash and no flash.

Essence-Glitz-and-Glam-1It is an effect top coat but I used it alone. You can see 3 coats and top coat on the photos. It was rather easy to apply, although the larger glitters didn’t go on the edges of the nails. The brush is flat and wide (not too much though). The formula felt nice and there was no need to fish for glitter.

Essence-Glitz-and-GlamNow lets move on to the nail art I used Glitz & Glam in. I have to add though, that the wear time was really good (wore it alone for few days before adding some art).

glitter-abstract-nails-1The design is inspired by one of the designs of Red Hair & Black Nail Polish.

The studs are normal silver leaf shaped studs from Born Pretty Store. I painted them with the polishes I used for the design, as you can see from the photos.

Polishes used:

  • base – Sally Hansen Hard as Nails strengthener and CND Stickey base coat
  • Essence Glitz & Glam
  • pink – Misslyn Ave Caesar
  • black – Maybelline Colorshow Blackout
  • Seche Vite top coat

The pink and black parts are done with a detail brush by free-handing.

glitter-abstract-nails-2I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend. It’s already chilly and rainy here and it seems that it will rain for the next week. I’d also like to apologize for the foggy photos, just couldn’t capture the awesomeness of Glitz & Glam any other way. Till my next post 😉
