Today’s 20th day of OMD2, which means it’s time for chevron. I have don chevron before, but never like this. I don’t have any vinyls or stamps for the pattern and so I decided to go for checkered chevron. I really liked it, but next time I might go for slimmer ones.
I do hope it fits to the theme. I was thinking of either using mint or coral for non accent nails, coral won :P. Since I did few green manis past few days and I really wanted to use this untried one I had.
I can definitely see myself doing more this kind of chevrons in the future, probably as accent nails.
Polishes used:
- base – Sally Hansen Hard as Nails nail strengthener, Manhattan Nail Polish base coat
- white – Barry M Matt White
- black – China Glaze Liquid Leather
- silver – Misslyn Night Fever
- coral – Misslyn Sunrise
- Seche Vite top coat
The chevron pattern was painted using a striper brush and a small detail brush. First I painted the borders with white and then filled some of the parts in like on chess board. After that I filled in the rest of the squares with black.
For the coral polish, I used 3 coats and for the silver one 2 coats.
