OMD2nails – 3D nails with dots and stripes

OMD2nails-3D-stripes-dots-1Hello lovelies, it’s 12th day of OMD2 challenge, which means it’s time for some 3D nail art.

For today, I chose something simple and as a 3D part of the mani, I added a black bow with rhinestone in the middle.

It is also a skittlette. As for the colours I went with nude and a purple. For the dots, I used an average sized dotting tool and the stripes are made with a long and thin striping brush.

The black bow is from Born Pretty Store, it came as a set of 10 in a small plastic bag and so far I’ve managed to salvage every bow, I’ve used in my designs.

OMD2nails-3D-stripes-dots-2Polishes used:

  • Orly Tough Cookie nail strengthener
  • CND Stickey base coat
  • nude – Barry M Lychee
  • purple – Misslyn Crazy Love
  • CND Air Dry top coat
  • Barry M matte top coat

I attached the bow with a drop of old and gloopy Seche I had left. It held on quite well. I kept the design on for a day. I have worn these bows before too and they started falling off after 2 days. And I kind of got annoyed too, because they’re rather huge and get stuck into clothes easily.

I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend and also this manicure. Check out other 3D designs at the end of this post and till tomorrow 😉
