OMD2nails – Dark

OMD2nails-dark-1Hello lovelies, it’s couple of hours on the 5th of July side in Estonia already, midnight here as I am writing this.

The 5th day of OMD2 is dedicated for DARK nails. As I am drinking my coffee and waiting for the taxi (which will be here in 3 hours), I decided to get this post up.

My first idea was something totally different, but it failed miserably. So I came up with something totally new, even chose different polishes.

I also did some free-handing, haven’t done that in a while, which makes this even better. I might try this look again in the autumn, if I remember 😛

OMD2nails-dark-2Polishes used:

  • purple – China Glaze Grape Pop
  • white jelly – Maybelline Colorama French White
  • black crackle – Sally Hansen Ink Splatter

For my base coat I used Orly Tough Cookie nail strengthener and CND Stickey base coat. The rhinestones are ordered online from somewhere (got no idea from where). As for top coat I went with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri.

For painting the petals I used a small detail brush and left some room for the rhinestone center.

Let me know, is this dark enough? Do you like it? Would you have something similar on your nails?

And the crackle, you’ll be seeing it in a few more designs. I suddenly loved the effect again for few days. I am doing holographic at the moment (no crackle there :P), it won’t be anything fancy though cause I have packed away most of the supplies. After that I am all prepared till galaxy nails and hopefully I can dance along in the rest of the themes too. Till Sunday 😉 and be sure to check out the darkness from inlinkz at the end of the post.
