Going Pink

ImageHey everyone, well October is over and to be honest I wasn’t sure if I even wanted to do this pink mani thing. Well I got some awesome decals from Born Pretty Store and I came up with this saran wrap mani or well base for the lovely pink feather decals.

About the cause, I am not going to talk about how important it is to check our breasts. Why I did decide to go for this mani was that this type of cancer isn’t only women’s problem. Yes it can affect men too, although not as many of them. It develops in the small amount of breast tissue men have behind their nipples. As for some numbers, one in every 100 000 gets affected by it in the UK.

I haven’t noticed any blogger to point that out, correct me if I’m wrong. And I am very sorry if I have missed that bit of information from your posts.

On to the mani and products used.

ImageProducts used:

  • Tough Cookie Nail Strengthener by Orly
  • Blanc by Essie
  • Pink-ie Promise by China Glaze
  • Long Kiss by China Glaze
  • saran wrap
  • Feather water decals from Born Pretty Store
  • stamping plate m71 from Born Pretty Store
  • Seche Vite

I am really loving the decals, they’re so easy to use and look good. I am also pleased with the white-pink combo for saran wrap technique. Let me know what you think.

Thank you! With this design I didn’t use one-stroke. It’s all listed in the products used part. I don’t have any acrylics with me (some luggage restrictions), so I can’t do any one stroke art while I’m away from home.
The feathers are water decals. Really easy to use and they look amazing.

      • ohhh i see then 😀 i just knew that there’s the luggage restrictions for acrylics 😮
        that’s very nice 😀
thank you for the follow kairi!

  2. I’m not a fan of pink, and especially of pink nails (on myself) although I did the breast cancer awareness mani (which actually spread some awareness in my church, so it was worth it)
That being said, I LOVE your base, that saran wrap background is awesome! These colours look great together, plus cute feathers!
I really love how this turned out!

Usually I don’t mind pink manis, but the more it turns to the dark (less daylight etc) the more uncomfortable I get with them. My tan is starting to fade and the pink just makes my fingers yellow.
I’m glad that you managed to spread some awareness. I got some across also (wore this mani for several days).
      Thank you 🙂
